Energy Realignment and Healing for your Spine
SpinaReiki is the bridge between Science and Conscious Medicine. An energetic spinal realignment melding Reiki and Craniosacral Therapy.
The SpinaReiki Method is an adaptation of energy release and balancing techniques held within the Craniosacral Therapy (CST) modality with the added addition and power of Reiki. Craniosacral Therapy focuses on the craniosacral rhythm, which is the flow of cerebrospinal fluid from the head (cranium) to the tailbone (sacrum).
The SpinaReiki Method powerfully, yet gently and subtly balances the whole nervous, endocrine and lymphatic systems for healing. It offers an energetic realignment for the spine as well as enhancing wellness for the whole body.

A bit of Background/Science for You
With The SpinaReiki Method, the practitioner tunes into the motion of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around the spinal cord and the movement that pulsates through all the connective tissue (fascia) of the body. The craniosacral system is linked to the pulsation of the CSF in the body and to what can be called the Breath of Life – which can also be translated as prana, life force, Chi, Holy Spirit, the Tao, the Universal Quantum Field of Intelligence – essentially, what we call the practice of Reiki!
The Breath of Life provides an organising principle guiding us to health and healing. It transmits potency to the CSF, which in turn gives potency to all the cells and tissue in the body.
The CSF can be called liquid light (the embodiment of Reiki in a liquid form). Research with the body has gone on to demonstrate that this fluid contains light photons and expresses bioelectric information (electrical currents) throughout the body at lightning speed. In short it is the most conductive fluid we have in our bodies – transporting hormones, electrolytes, information and energy to remote parts of the body.
With SpinaReiki we further explore these organising principles with the concept of palpation. Palpation is the art of using touch to examine the body and explore the structures beneath the skin – their form, movement and relationship to each other.
Background Information on Craniosacral Therapy
It is important to note that the SpinaReiki Method is not practicing Craniosacral Therapy (CST), but rather, an adaptation of energy-based CST techniques. Craniosacral Therapy is a holistic healing modality that stems from osteopathy. It focuses on the craniosacral rhythm, which is the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the head (cranium) to the tailbone (sacrum). This movement is generated by pressure changes throughout the head and spine during the production and absorption of CSF. Its subtle flow indicates the harmony or disharmony of the whole person.
CSF is produced in the ventricles of the brain, where it then goes through the nervous system before it is eventually absorbed into the bloodstream. It provides nutrients and absorbs waste; it acts as a shock absorber and provides buoyancy for the brain. It also adjusts blood volume in the cranium.
CST plays an integral part in amplifying the parasympathetic nervous system. Moving the client from the adrenal fight-or-flight response to a relaxing, parasympathetic response
When hands are placed lightly on the body we are always having a physiological effect on all the structures, organs and glands in the body.
Metaphysical Meanings related to the Back
We tuck away and hide in the back all that is unexpressed. Many people can be afraid of dealing with lots of different and specific issues, so a person’s back can bears their emotional and/or mental weight.
The language we use concerning the back is also very telling. We can speak, metaphorically of “holding back”, “to put something behind you”, “backing away” from and “turning your back on” any given situation or experience.
Individuals can also play a martyr type role and feelings of resentment or being overburdened or under-supported can easily manifest in this region causing problems with the physical tissue and alignment.
