Three Fruits — Triphala

Price range: $30.00 through $35.00

Amalaki · Bibhitaki · Haritaki. Ayurveda’s Most Revered Daily Tonic. For Every Body. For Every Stage of Life.

If you were to choose a single Ayurvedic formula to take every day for the rest of your life, Ayurvedic physicians across three thousand years of clinical tradition would almost unanimously agree on one answer.

Triphala.
Not because it treats one condition. Because it treats none — and supports everything. Because it is not a medicine for the sick but a tonic for the living. Because in Ayurveda’s extraordinary pharmacopoeia of thousands of herbs and formulas, this combination of three fruits stands alone as the one that balances all three doshas simultaneously, nourishes every tissue in the body progressively, supports the digestive foundation upon which all other health depends, and does so with a gentleness and intelligence that no synthetic compound has ever come close to replicating.

Three Fruits is the Eumundi Medicine Man’s expression of Triphala — wildcrafted, practitioner-quality, and available in both capsules and powder so it can be incorporated into daily life in whatever form suits best.
This is not a laxative. This is not a one-purpose supplement. This is the closest thing Ayurveda has to a daily non-negotiable. A morning practice. A foundation. The one formula you simply take — every day, for life — because the body works better with it than without it.

Available in 170 Capsules or Powder.

What is Triphala — and Why Three Fruits?

Triphala means simply “three fruits” in Sanskrit — and the genius of the formula lies in the way these three fruits complement, balance, and amplify one another. Each addresses a different constitutional type. Each governs a different layer of the body’s function. Together they create a whole that is genuinely greater than the sum of its parts — a tridoshic formula, meaning it is balancing and beneficial for all constitutional types without exception.

This is extraordinarily rare in Ayurvedic medicine, where most formulas are specific to one dosha or body type. The fact that Triphala transcends this specificity and works harmoniously for everyone is a large part of why it has occupied its central position in the tradition for over three thousand years.

The Three Fruits — Each with Its Own Genius

Amalaki (Phyllanthus emblica / Amla) — The Pitta Balancer Amalaki — also the source of our Beyond C formula — is Ayurveda’s foremost rasayana and the single most antioxidant-rich fruit in the tradition. Cooling by nature, it directly pacifies Pitta — the fire element — supporting healthy liver function, immune modulation, cellular repair, and the anti-inflammatory processes that protect every tissue in the body. Rich in Vitamin C and a matrix of protective polyphenols and gallic acids, Amalaki is the nourishing, restorative heart of this formula. The Medicine Buddha is said to have placed particular reverence on this fruit — and modern research on its capacity to repair damaged DNA, protect against carcinogenesis, and support cardiovascular health is beginning to explain exactly why.
Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica) — The Kapha Balancer Bibhitaki is the formula’s great cleanser — particularly targeted at Kapha accumulation in the respiratory tract, lymphatic system, and digestive channel. It clears mucus, supports healthy lung and bronchial function, reduces the sluggishness and accumulation that characterises Kapha excess, and brings a powerful astringent, detoxifying quality to the formula. It is less celebrated than its two companions but no less essential — the herb that clears the channels through which the other two can nourish and restore.
Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) — The Vata Balancer & The King If Amalaki is the most nourishing and Bibhitaki the most cleansing, Haritaki is the most revered. Known in Sanskrit as the “King of Medicines,” Haritaki is balancing to all three doshas but holds particular affinity for Vata — the air and movement principle that governs the nervous system, elimination, and the overall vitality of the body. Haritaki rejuvenates — rebuilding the tissues that time and stress have depleted, supporting healthy elimination without dependency, and bringing a quality of deep tonic restoration to the body that no other single herb quite replicates.
The Medicine Buddha The Medicine Buddha is depicted in iconography holding a Haritaki fruit in his outstretched hand — an acknowledgement that this fruit carries within it the blessing of long life, clear mind, and the health that makes all other flourishing possible.

What Three Fruits Actually Does — The Full Picture

Digestive Health & Bowel Regularity This is the benefit most people know Triphala for — and it is real, clinically significant, and unlike anything a conventional laxative offers. Three Fruits moves slow bowels, clears accumulated waste, and supports regular, complete elimination — without making the gut dependent on it, without cramping, and without the rebound constipation that follows most laxative use. It works by toning and strengthening peristalsis — the natural muscular movement of the intestinal wall — rather than forcing it. Over time, consistent use genuinely improves the digestive system’s own capacity to function. This is the difference between a crutch and a tonic.
Leaky Gut & Intestinal Repair One of the most clinically significant and least publicised benefits of Triphala is its capacity to support the repair of intestinal permeability — what is commonly called leaky gut. The integrity of the gut wall is foundational to immune function, nutrient absorption, the prevention of systemic inflammation, and the management of autoimmune conditions. Triphala’s astringent, anti-inflammatory, and mucous membrane-toning properties directly support the restoration of this integrity — making it one of the most important tools available for anyone dealing with food sensitivities, inflammatory bowel conditions, or the chronic low-grade inflammation that so often traces back to a compromised gut lining.
Detoxification & Liver Support Triphala is one of Ayurveda’s primary detoxifying formulas — supporting the liver’s clearance of accumulated metabolic waste, environmental toxins, and the ama (undigested residue) that Ayurveda identifies as the root cause of most disease. Used as part of a seasonal cleanse or as a daily maintenance formula, it keeps the body’s internal channels clear in a way that supports every other system downstream.
Antioxidant Protection & Cellular Defence The three fruits collectively deliver one of the most potent antioxidant profiles available from whole-food plant sources — Vitamin C, flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, saponins, and gallic acid — working together to neutralise free radicals, protect cells from oxidative damage, and reduce the chronic inflammatory burden that underlies ageing and disease. This is not isolated antioxidant supplementation. This is the whole-food matrix that makes antioxidant activity genuinely effective.
Immune Modulation Amalaki’s immunomodulating properties alone make Triphala a meaningful daily immune support. Combined with Haritaki’s tonic and Bibhitaki’s cleansing qualities, the formula supports a balanced, appropriately responsive immune system — neither under-reactive nor chronically overactivated.
Weight Management & Metabolic Support Haritaki specifically is noted for its support of healthy weight management — supporting the metabolic processes that govern fat metabolism and the elimination of accumulated waste that contributes to weight gain. Regular Triphala use supports the digestive efficiency and metabolic clarity that make maintaining a healthy weight significantly easier.
Eye Health In traditional Ayurvedic practice, Triphala powder dissolved in water and used as an eyewash has been one of the most commonly recommended remedies for eye health — reducing inflammation, clearing discharge, and supporting the health of ocular tissue. This traditional use is one of the reasons the powder format remains available alongside the capsules.
Skin Clarity In Ayurveda, clear skin begins with a clear gut and a functioning liver. By supporting both simultaneously, Triphala addresses the internal environment from which most chronic skin conditions originate — making it a deeply relevant daily practice for anyone dealing with acne, eczema, or the dullness that accumulates when elimination and detoxification are sluggish.

Wildcrafted. Tridoshic. Timeless.

This Three Fruits formula uses wildcrafted Triphala — meaning the fruits are harvested from their natural habitat, without the soil depletion and standardisation that characterises commercial cultivation. Wildcrafted herbs carry a vitality and complexity that cultivated sources struggle to match, and for a formula that has been prepared from wild-harvested fruits since antiquity, the integrity of the sourcing matters.

Directions

Daily tonic use: Take 1–2 capsules with warm water before bed. This is the classic daily maintenance dose — gentle, consistent, and deeply supportive over time.
For colon cleansing: Take 4 capsules before bed with warm water. A thorough bowel movement should follow in the morning. If the bowel is dry or compacted, it may take a few days at this dose. Gandharva Oil may be used alongside Three Fruits if additional lubrication is needed.
For sensitive bowels: Take 2 capsules before bed with warm water.

Powder — traditional eyewash: Dissolve ½ teaspoon in cooled boiled water, strain through a fine cloth, and use as a gentle eyewash.
Powder — internal use: ½ to 1 teaspoon in warm water before bed, or stirred into food or smoothies.
Dietary and lifestyle choices remain a significant part of overall digestive health — Triphala works best as part of a considered daily wellness practice.
